A Notice to our Customers about the Equifax Breach

Recently, Equifax, one of the three national consumer credit reporting agencies, announced a major data breach, affecting approximately 143 million Americans. According to Equifax, the data breach occurred between May and July 2017, and the information stolen includes consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses and driver license numbers.

 

The Bank of New Glarus® and Sugar River Bank Branches was not compromised and your information was not stolen from our bank. However, we take the security of our customer information very seriously, and would like to provide you with additional information and steps you can take to protect your personally-identifiable information.
